In short
- You can browse, copy and share greetings without an account.
- If you sign in, we keep your email, name and photo, and the greetings you copy, share and save, so My Impact can show your smiles, streaks and badges.
- We use Google Analytics and PostHog to see how the site is used. We do not record your screen.
- We never sell or rent your data.
- Write to hello@quickgreets.in at any time to see, correct or delete your data.
1.Who we are
Quick Greets (www.quickgreets.in) is a free greeting-message site run from India. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Quick Greets. We decide what personal data the site collects and why, which makes us the data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You can reach us at hello@quickgreets.in.
2.What we collect
When you use the site without an account
Nothing that identifies you. Your browser keeps a few things on your own device, such as the greetings you recently copied and whether you have dismissed the "install app" offer. These stay in your browser's local storage and are not sent to us.
When you sign in
- Your email address, and, if you sign in with Google, the name and profile photo on your Google account.
- When your account was created and when you last signed in.
- Which greetings you copy, share and save, and when. This is what My Impact uses for your smiles, streaks, levels and badges.
When you send feedback
What you write, the topic and rating you pick, an email address if you give one, and the page and type of device you sent it from.
Usage analytics
On www.quickgreets.in we use Google Analytics and PostHog to count visits and actions such as copying or sharing a greeting. They see the pages you open, your browser and device type, the site that sent you, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. Session recording is turned off. They use cookies or similar storage to tell visits apart.
3.How we use it
- To run the features you use: sign-in, saved greetings, and your smiles, streaks and badges on My Impact.
- To improve the content, for example by seeing which occasions and greetings people share most.
- To read and reply to your feedback.
- To keep the site secure and to fix problems.
4.Who can see it
The Quick Greets team can see account emails and activity in our admin panel, only to run and improve the service. We use these providers to run the site, and they handle data on our behalf:
- Supabase: database and sign-in. Our data is stored in its Mumbai, India region.
- Vercel: hosting and delivering the website.
- Google: "Sign in with Google", Google Analytics, and the email service that sends sign-in codes.
- PostHog: product analytics.
Some of these providers may process data outside India. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We will share it with authorities only when the law requires us to.
5.Cookies and local storage
Signing in keeps a session in your browser so you stay signed in. The analytics tools above set their own cookies. You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings; the site still works, but you will be signed out.
6.How long we keep it
We keep your account and activity for as long as you have an account. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your email, profile details, saved greetings and activity. Analytics data is kept for the limited period set in those tools. Feedback is kept while it is useful for improving the site.
7.Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you;
- correct or update it;
- delete your account and its data;
- withdraw your consent, which you can also do by signing out and asking us to delete your account.
Email hello@quickgreets.in from the address on your account. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8.Children
Anyone can browse and copy greetings. Accounts are meant for people aged 18 or over, or younger people with a parent's or guardian's consent. If you believe a child has created an account without that consent, write to us and we will delete it.
9.Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Access to account data is limited by database rules, and only the Quick Greets team can open the admin panel. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
10.Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top. For important changes, we will also tell signed-in users on the site before they take effect.
11.Contact and grievances
For any question, request or complaint about your data, write to our Grievance Officer at hello@quickgreets.in. See also our Terms of Service.
